The Module Template
Combined Modules

It's best practice to deliver distinct Moodle modules that have a clear module overview, learning outcomes and assessments to improve the student experience.

Where modules have been combined for learning opportunities (collaborative discussions or wikis) as certain faculties have done with their campus based/DA modules these should continue to run as combined. Good learning and teaching should always lead technology. These modules will not have the Moodle Baseline tabbed block for September 2019 but will have the Moodle Baseline tabbed block when we have integrated data from students records which we hope to have for September 2020.

Where no collaborative activities happen between different groups, modules should be run seperately.

Where modules have been combined because the resources and activities are similar (18SEPT & 19JAN or delivered to level 5 and 7 for example) these modules should be split to present clear information to students. Moodle has many great tools to duplicate information between modules.

To summarise Moodle Baseline tabbed block will not apply for modules which have been combined for learning opportunities such as collaborative discussions or wikis.
